Amelia, changed from innocent and kindhearted to an embittered and stoic demeanor by fifteen years of torture and experimentations done on her, was left with a split in her mind, one side of which was her past life, her innocence gone and hope fading away from ever finding peace; while her other, more darker side continues to creep into her mind, always right there, ready to consume her to the brink of insanity and complete oblivion of what remains of her mind. These two sides of her mind creates a conflict that challenges Amelia both physically and emotional. A conflict, along other challenges ahead for her that will test her mind and heart.
I wanted to make a play on the two sides of conflict within Amelia, her fading, innocent past longing in her mind, and her possible future where her darkened insanity waits in shadows, slowly consuming her mind and heart towards turmoil. And between the two conflict lies the stoic Amelia, stuck between two different sides.
I actually didn't realize it was so small until halfway through.

That's some breathtaking work you pulled off here with the lighting and coloring!
I'm loss for words my friend.

*I gently approach Amelia to try and comfort her*
*I sit on a boxing laying next to her*
Look... I know it's hard... I know life is hard... I know life throws a lot of pain at us... but it's our decision whether we want to continue or give up, grab a gun and pull the trigger on ourselves. I know you endured a lot of unpleasant moments in your life... those 15 years being the worst... but as they say: "The past can be painful, so we can either live and dwell in it, or learn from it?"
What I'm trying to get across, Amelia, is that you, out of all people have the strength to carry on and fight onward no matter what the scars. Your sense of hope is unlike anything I've ever seen in a person, and I'm amazed at that.
But when it comes to keeping your cool, you simply cannot unleash any anger on those who promise no harm to you. The way I see it, all hardships and pains can be endured as long as you have friends fighting alongside you and always being there for you when you need them most. You still have Chris, your lifelong friend who still accepts you for who you are and not what others claim you should be. I honestly think you hone a great design and capability for executing things no normal cyborg can accomplish.
As Cpt. Haddock from "TinTin" said: "If you care for something, you fight for it. If life puts a wall in your path, you push through it. The truth about failure is that you can NEVER let it overpower and defeat you."
So... *ahem*... W-with that being said... I hope I didn't bore nor irritate you with this... but to finish this little thought of mine... I just wanna' say... *I gently approach her and give her a hug*

Phew, that was long...
Amelia is not predestined to fall for the darkness, only if no one catches her.
