Amelia's vert. column concept by NeoLupeTrooper9893 Amelia's vert. column concept by NeoLupeTrooper9893
Indisputably one of the most important part of Amelia's whole life support armor, her Cybernetic-enhanced vertebral column.

When the scientist grew an ambition to test on her, they realize that she had a shattered spine, with 18 of her 33 vertebrae completely destroyed, save for the top part of her Thoracic bones and the Cerivical. She had also lost her entire Pelvic column and hip bones, as well as a good amount of nerve bundles and spinal cord.

So upon realizing that she would not be an ample test subject with a spine in that condition, they went to rebuilding and strengthened her spine,

Opening her up back and front, taking out with extreme care the individual vertebrae and ribs, and rebuilt them from test results and models provided from earlier experiments.

The vertebrae of the Cervical, Thoracic and Lumbar column were implemented with metalloid reconstruction of the original bones that had been destroyed to make it twice as strong and flexible, they had also implemented several cybernetic enhancements to her spinal cord and nervous system as well, grafting wires and motion sensors to amplify her senses and movement as well.

Since her Pelvic and hip structures were gone and obliterated, it allowed the scientists to create an outlet for any possible changes they may want to aquire when testing and for connection to any other experiments as well. this would become handy for her final experiment.

As this was a major breakthrough for the scientists in terms of the rebuilding of the spine, but not a very pleasant one for Amelia, even though she had life support and pain killers, they didn't prevent her from experiancing the painful and mind shattering sight seeing her body taken apart and being reassembled as if she was merely a toy. This "surgery" was one of the many horrific, if not most scarring memories that would haunt her.

When it was time for her final experiment, the scientists would utilize the Pelvic joint that they left unfinished 15 years ago, for her new body. Because of her spinal cord being transformed into a cybernetic state, it was a much easier operation to fit her pelvis and her upper torso to her lower body, which is her present form.

The lower body held most of her vital organs, spare the stomach and the digestive system, due to her H-E core that is also located below her heart. and since it uses a replicate, if not, a larger version of the cybernetic enhanced spine of Amelia to connect to her well being as well as to give Amelia a natural feel, as if it was really a natural part of her. and with an extension of her spinal cord into the lower body, it also allowed her to have a more complete feel around her surroundings, allowing her to feel every step, movement or touch of her lower body, giving her a more natural touch as compared to simply a mechanical leg with no muscle memory or sensors, making the user feel like they still have no leg, but having a leg there anyways.

The lower body also featured a "second spine". The outer spine crawls up from the lower pelvic up to her waist, where it continues upward, with connecting outer "ribs, to reinforce her inner ribs, and up to her "backpack" with a secondary spinal control circuit, allowinging easier access to her nervous system, but the truth of the circuit system is not known by Amelia about what it really does (foreshadowing). The outer spine acts as a surface body support incase the inner main spine should be incapacitated, allowing a limited movement to escape form danger.

The spinal reconstruction once finished allowed Amelia to lift five times her weight, and can accomplish much more agile movements and speed, as well as sense amplification.
It saved Amelia, but it gave her pain as well, with the reconstruction of her spine alotting nearly 7 years of her tortured captivity.

Just another concept to give Amelia a more clearer aspect of her cyborg body. Hope you like it!

P.S. I actually did the research to name the bones listed above. ^^ it was fun.

Annd I thought the Assimilation process of the Borg are cruel. But this is quite barbaric. Was she conscious during the surgeries, or was Amelia sedated while the Scientists took her apart?

That's some heavy research right there! I like the detail you've gone to in the execution of this piece, and i respect the idea of a mechanized spine (I just had no background knowledge on which to base it) I'd like to ask your permission to use this spinal concept (specifically the upper vertebral reaches: from the lumbar curve to the odontid process, and maybe up to the Medulla) in my cyborg concept pieces. Credit to your concept, of course. For an idea, check out my Assault Commando.

P.S. can i marry your brain?

Thanks, and of course you can use the concept, just on one condition, Have a somewhat alternating design, such as color changes, etc. and credits; but otherwise, you can use this concept. ^^
